Mahnomen County Deputy is Named Minnesota Police Officer of the Year
 

As you may have heard in the media, my partner of 4 years, Deputy
Chris Dewey, was ambushed and shot in the head by two career criminals on
the morning of February 16, 2009.Chris is in stable but critical condition at
Meritcare Medical Center in Fargo, ND. He's showing signs of improvement but
is expected to have some paralysis on his left side and he has not to this
point become fully conscious.

 A fund has been set up to assist his wife and their families.
They live 4 hours away and neither family is well off financially. Please
do all you can to help an officer's family in this most tragic time of need.
