| The MPPOA Legal Defense Fund provides legal coverage for our members when they are the target of a criminal investigation or a defendant in a civil action both arising from the course and scope of their duties as a police officer. The Association wants to make sure an officer's career and bank account are protected from costly civil and criminal actions.
The Legal Defense Fund has contracts with some of Minnesota’s most highly skilled civil and criminal attorneys. Fund members are provided access to these advocates, and many other resources that are necessary to receive an aggressive defense in a civil or criminal matter.

If you would like to join the LDF, please use the link below to access and print the application. The completed application should be mailed to the MPPOA office. Membership in the Legal Defense Fund is restricted only to members of the MPPOA.
Legal Defense Fund Application
Individual MPPOA members may join the LDF for an annual fee of $96.00, and group rates are also available. To find out more about the LDF, either use the link below to read the “LDF Plan Document”, or contact the MPPOA Office for more information.
