MPPOA Legislative Advocacy

Have you ever wondered who is looking out for your interests in In St. Paul and Washington, D.C.? You do have a voice. The MPPOA is your established, powerful, effective and respected advocate.

What MPPOA does

We work for your economic, social and professional advancement through endorsements and lobbying at all levels of government. The MPPOA promotes and endorses political candidates who have demonstrated or are committed to platforms and issues that benefit the law enforcement community.

We employ full-time lobbyists for police issues at the Minnesota State Capitol who actively works with the state legislature. And, your interests are constantly monitored and represented at the federal level through our contracts with advocates in Washington, D.C. In addition, the association maintains a legislative fund for making financial contributions to the campaigns of candidates and causes that support the interests of our members.
