| MPPOA Legislative Advocacy |
| The MPPOA is established as a powerful, effective and respected voice for its members. It plays a significant role – through endorsements and lobbying - in the economic, social and professional advancement of law enforcement officers.
The MPPOA endorses political candidates for state and federal offices who have either demonstrated or committed to supporting platforms and issues which benefit the law enforcement community.

In addition, the association maintains a legislative fund to make financial contributions to the campaigns of these candidates.
The Association is actively working with state and local governments, employing a full time lobbyist at the Minnesota State Capitol on police issues, as well as contracting with advocates in Washington, D.C. to monitor and represent our interests at the federal level.
