On June 16, 2003 at the MPPOA's 81st Annual Convention at Arrowwood Resort the voting members approved the change in the by-laws canceling the retirement benefit.  Members will no longer receive a gift or monetary amount when they retire after twenty or more years of service, but they will still receive a gold card and their name listed in the Minnesota Police Journal. 

To notify the MPPOA Office of your retirement contact MPPOA, please include your name, department name and your date of retirement your name will be placed in the next magazine along with receiving your gold life membership card.
